Introduction – analysis The first week, had two aims, first: making the children enthousiastic for the English lessons and second: making an analysis from the actual level of the skills from the children and the learning skill. The part for making the children enthousiastic was necessary, there was a lot of energy (excitement) and the fact that I am a foreigner not speaking fluently the Turkish language, some children were a little afraid. I wanted to take away the fear and use this energy to make this lesson a lesson where they can express themselves and feel natural. I used very much action games and where the children can run and dance, so they can use their energy. This is how I want them to give the feeling that they can be comfortable and that there is no threat. To look for the learning ability, I used words which they didn't know. In a song about crayon, table, book and chair, I tested the learning ability. Further I used words like eye, mouth, hair and noose. Beside that I learned that the 5-6 years old children learned from the former teacher to count till 20 and some knew the days of the week and the months. Second week (8th September) After the first week I finished the analysis for the 5 and 6 year old, I worked with groups that have about the same learning ability. The used strategy is to learn in the first place words and after that the sentences. To learn a language works the best to start close to the reality of the child. So the subject starts with mother, father, sister and brother. The children will be confronted with the new words this week in a different way, games including music, dancing, running and variations of memory- and whispering games were applied. Three days a week the program finishes with color picture. Third week (15th September) The third week grandfather, grandmother, house, door, window, tree and sun are added as new words. Other new words like were added “appointing” words like “this” and “that”. Besides that with dolls the first dialogs were played. “Hello, how are you?” “I am fine thank you, and how are you?” “I am fine thank you.” Besides the dialog and the new words is rehearsing the words a subject. Important is the high quality of the basics of English, before to start the education form is again including music, dancing, running and variations of memory- and whispering games. Fourth week (22nd September) The fourth week, the words: uncle, aunt, cousin (female and male) were learned. They must separate the concepts from father, mother, sister and brother. The children will be confronted with the new words this week in a different ways, games including music, dancing, running and variations of memory- and whispering games were applied. Besides that the sentences are being rehearsed “Hello, how are you?” “I am fine thank you, and how are you?” “I am fine thank you.” Three days a week the program finishes with color picture. Program 4 years old start Together with another teacher who is responsible for the control of the group the 4rd years are given English lessons to. This content started with a song in which they learned “sit down” and “stand up” book, crayon, table and chair. Besides that the children learn the words with family, father, mother brother, sister. Ramazan Bayramı October Program (week of 6th oct) 5-6 years old The children will be confronted with new words: television, ice-cream, bicycle, car and book. Besides that, the words about the family names have been rehearsed. The new aspect is that the children must make a combination sentence with the new words and a family name for example: father is watching television or cousin is eating an ice-cream. With different plays the children are stimulated to learn the new words and the sentences. 4 years old The children learn good morning, good afternoon, good evening and good night. They are entering the class saying hello, morning etcetera. Besides that the children learn new words like school teacher boy and girl. With games, like and dancing and running to the good picture. Program (week of 13th oct) 5-6 years old The children rehearse the words television, ice-cream, bicycle, car and book. They learn now to make the sentences with “I”: “I am reading a book”, “I am driving a car” etcetera. Further they rehearse the family names with different plays. Three times a week they make a drawing. 4 years old The children learn to count from 1-5. Further are the children rehearsing, good morning, afternoon, evening and night and father, mother, sister and brother. With games, like and dancing and running to the good picture. Program (week of 20th oct) 5-6 years old The new words are hand, foot, head, arm, leg, neck. Children attend different games and exercises in what they are confronted with the new words. Further the children practice the small sentences by combining the words, television, book, bicycle, car and ice-cream with the family names. 4 years old The children learn to count from 1- 10. They learn to count and arrange the number with objects. The children learn the colors: blue, yellow, red, green, white and black. Program (week of 27th oct) 5-6 years old In this week they learn the following new words: mouth, ear, eye and noose. Besides that the new words from the week before will be rehearsed. Children attend different games and exercises in what they are confronted with the new words. 4 years old The children rehearse the counting from 1 – 10 and the colors learned the week before. Beside that the concept of forms square, triangle and circle will be learned.
